Inside Line Promotions – WEST FARGO, N.D. (Aug. 21, 2018) – Kraig Kinser continues to head west as the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series makes its way to the West Coast for the final time this season.

The series invaded North Dakota for a doubleheader last weekend, beginning with the 2nd Leg of the Northern Tour on Friday at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. Kinser qualified 14th quickest, placed eighth in a heat race, ran fourth in the Last Chance Showdown and advanced from 22nd to 15th during the main event.

Kinser tackled Red River Valley Speedway for the Duel in the Dakotas on Saturday. He timed in third quickest in qualifying before ending sixth in a heat race and 14th in the A Main. 

​

“Our heat races were our Achilles heel both nights,” he said. “We weren’t prepared for the changes to the track. Then that put us in bad situations to get lapped early in the main events because we were starting so far back.

​

“We definitely made progress, but I think we could have been better. Starting further up front would have helped us.”

​

Kinser continued to rank 10th in the championship standings as ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ ventures to Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D., on Friday for the Rushmore Outlaw Showdown and to Big Sky Speedway in Billings, Mont., on Saturday for the NAPA Auto Parts & Visit Billings presents the Big Sky Brawl at Big Sky Speedway.

“We’re going to make a few changes to try to get quicker,” he said. “If I can get qualified well we need to get through our heat a little better. It’s like the nights we qualify well we can’t race as well. We have to put it all together.”
